I just completed a new painting, and I'm thinking of titling it "Neptune's Calamari". Sounds bizarre, but the painting is a little bizarre. It was a fun piece to do. I'm wanting to dabble in surrealism, and this is a modest step in that direction. The painting is formulated around a fountain from Piazza Navona in Rome called the Fountain of Neptune.
I have 2 key elements in the composition. I love doing statue paintings and under the sea paintings. This combined both with a twist of my admiration for the painting Pygmalion and Galatea that I have always loved. https://wiki.uco.edu/display/~nbednarz/Pygmalion+and+Galatea-Nicole+Bednarz

Logo Murals in Richmond
Yesterday a went a little south to do 2 logo murals in Richmond, TX. It was a last minute idea from my client who almost didn't get them done. I made her a Christmas deal she couldn't refuse!
They were for her son. One was the Air Jordan jump logo and the other was the DC Shoes logo, done tiedye style. Not a bad little gig for just before the holidays!
I could handle jobs like this more often... bring it on!

Just Getting Started
This is all new for me. Never blogged, never really viewed blogs. There's a first time for everything! I am an artist, a painter to be precise. I paint murals, portraits, animals, landscapes, you name it. My website http://www.migfineart.com/ has a portfolio of samples, biography, contact info, etc.
I am currently working on a painting of "The Battle of Neptune" - a fountain from Piazza Navona, Rome. It's a surrealist twist, and once I get the hang of this blogging thing, I'll post updates. For now, this is a trial run. Wish me luck!http://www.migfineart.com/
